Installing a Firefox plugin in browser for testing

  1. Click on the right most icon in the firefox tool bar(3 lines)
  2. In the popup, click "More Tools"

  3. Click "Remote Debugging"

    OR

  4. Alternately you may go directly to about:debugging
  5. choose "This Firefox"

  6. Click "Load Remporary Extensions" button
    Load Remporary Extensions
  7. Enter/Choose folder of plugin
  8. Choose maifest.json
  9. The plugin will be shown as loaded

    Update Settings of plugins with settings

  10. Click on the right most icon in the firefox tool bar(3 lines)
  11. In the popup, click "Addons and Themes"

    OR

  12. Alternatively you may go directly to about:addons
  13. Click on your custom plugin and
    Your Custom Plugin
  14. Click on "Options" tab
